MISSION STATEMENT... |

|
To provide assistance for Emergency Service Organizations for needed additional personal in Search and Rescue response situations or Communications support. WCSAR Team is a pro-active organization with active duty Safety Patrols on both Land and Sea. To be First Responders to the public, and assist where needed in any unforeseen circumstances involving personal tragedy, situations due to severe weather or any natural disaster. We are a logistical support Group with members from various backgrounds and members of 'other' SAR organizations that are familiar with volunteer service in support of Search and Rescue.

Worcester County Search & Rescue is a non-profit Corporation established in March 2004 and does not discriminate due to race, creed, or religion. WCSART is a volunteer organization consisting of trained personal from a Military background, or volunteers and associates from local Police Departments, Fire Departments, as well as skilled men and women from the Worcester County area that are trained and familiar with Search & Rescue tactics such as CERT Team Members, EMT personal, members of FEMA, the US Coast Guard and Airforce Auxiliary programs, Reserve Components of the U.S. Military, United States Air Force, Army, Marines, Navy, Coast Guard, and Communications personal that are Amateur Radio Operators or work with other organizations in Communications. Our Members volunteer their time, knowledge, experience, work ethics to save lives, and to promote the welfare and safety of Search & Rescue operations. Our area of operation is Worcester County, Massachusetts and any where in the World where a support Group is needed. We are miles ahead, when distance counts!
Membership is open to all Adults; those that want to be a part of a active volunteer Search & Rescue Organization that can dedicate their time and efforts to the general public, and to take time out for additional training to coordinate better efforts and expertise to Search and Rescue tactics and venues relating to same. Be part of an active Team that does not wait around for complicated membership applications, endless training and something to happen...we make it happen.

Many of our members do belong to 'other' volunteer Groups, but-in-no-way does WCSART Represent these Groups except for the fact we have members belonging to same.
